PEMF Therapy – Myths vs. Facts

What is holding you back from introducing PEMF Therapy into your life? Below we uncover some of the most common myths of PEMF Therapy.

Myth #1: High intensity EMF’s are bad for you.

Whether an EMF is harmful or beneficial for your health, it always takes into consideration the intensity of wave and exposure time.

Meaning that yes, high exposure time to high intensity emf’s is proven to be bad for your health. However, walking past a microwave (high emf producer) shows no long term negative health effects.

Myth #2: Only a certain type of waveform is effective for your body.

Many studies have been done by PUBMed in search to find out what waveform is the most beneficial for the human body or a specific medical condition. Both sine and square wave shapes have been used extensively in studies and clinical applications. Although there is no research that shows that one particular wave shape is better than another, the sine wave is the most extensively researched wave shape.

Myth #3: There is only one PEMF Device that improves circulation.

All PEMF devices improve circulation. Even a locally applied PEMF stimulator will, by reflexive action on the nervous system and chemical components of the blood, improve circulation throughout the body.

Myth #4: You can’t combine PEMF Therapy with other sources of treatments.

PEMF Therapy often works synergistically with other sources of therapy. The most common would be PEMF Therapy combined with  physiotherapy, chiropractor and massage therapy.
Always consult a medical practitioner before trying or combining any type of medication/therapy to PEMF therapy.
