What is PEMF Therapy?
What is PEMF Therapy?
PEMF is a form of Energy Medicine, which stands for pulsed electromagnetic field. PEMF is utilized to increase cellular metabolism and improve circulation throughout the body.
Our bodies are electromagnetic. Every signal your brain sends out is through electromagnetic signals. The magnetic fields (from PEMF) work together with the electrical signals your nerve cells send by slowing them down without the use of drugs! So in theory you don’t just feel better, you are better.
How Does it Work?
Cellular voltage (your bodies electrical charge) is directly correlated to disease and illness. If your cells lose their charge due to disease or damage they are unable to operate and they will prematurely die, also know as Nerosis.
PEMF Therapy introduces low frequency, pulsed electromagnetic field (that mimic Earth’s natural frequencies) that recharge the cells of the body and reverses damage caused by bad EMF’s.
Thus naturally restoring the energy levels so the cells can perform the designated functions.
In simpler terms ..
When your cell phone runs out of battery it no longer works, but once you recharge it it is returned to normal function. This is what PEMF therapy does for your cellular network!
PEMF waves recharge the mitochondria in you cells. They act as the power house of cells. The mitochondria is responsible for many things in your cells production but its main function is to create energy for your body (ATP).
Bad EMF waves (we will discuss details below) can cause oxidation of the mitochondria membrane which produces free radicals (also know as positive ions).
When we have a misbalance in the ratio of positive to negative ions is when our bodies are susceptible to disease and illness.
Earth's EMF Waves
Every day we are involved with Earth’s natural PEMF frequencies which is why we can use a compass to to find the north or south pole where ever we are.
The Earth generates many different frequencies from 0-30 hertz. There are three main frequencies that the earth generates: 7.83 hertz (Schumann Resonance), 11.75 hertz (at the equator) and 11.79 hertz (at each pole).
The Schumann Resonance is a set of spectrum peaks in the extremely low frequency (ELF) portion of the Earth’s Magnetic Field spectrum. Schumann resonances are global electromagnetic resonances, generated and excited by lightening discharges in the cavity formed by the Earth’s surface and ionosphere.
We are designed to be in harmony with the Earths vibrations and when we are, we flourish. This is why when you go for a hike or spend a day outdoors you don’t just feel better you are better!
Consequently, when we are not in sync we begin to exhibit signs of stress, anxiety, illness, suppressed immune system and insomnia.
Fortunately we are able to bring our bodies back in sync with the earth by using a PEMF device or a PEMF Mat that mimic the earth’s heart beat.
Bad EMF Waves
It is important to recognize the different types of bad EMF’s and what generates them. Typically we see that higher frequency EMF’s are bad for our over all health. These include:
- Cell phones
- Microwaves
- Computers
- Wifi
- Cell phone towers
- Power lines
These EMF’s are not good for your over all health but it doesn’t mean that if you walk under a power line it causes detrimental damage.
Like anything unhealthy the harm to a person from bad EMF signals is directly correlated to duration of exposure, frequency and intensity of the EMF.
Too much exposure can result in:
- Hypertension
- Inflammation
- Cancer – (WHO deemed bad EMF’s carcinogenic to humans)
- Cell Death (nerosis)
- In balance hormones, male and female
- Lower sex drive
- Increase free radical damage (positive ions)
- Poor circulation
- Decreased Brain activity
- Insomnia
- Lack of concentration

What are the Benefits of PEMF Therapy?
PEMF Therapy is an affordable and effective way to stimulate your bodies natural healing mechanism without the use of prescription drugs and is also non-invasive.
In addition to what is listed below, these studies from PubMed have also shown that PEMF therapy increases the life quality of patients with parkinson disease, alzheimer disease, and diabetic polyneuropathy.
Improves Sleep Quality
For most people sleep disturbances occur often. From problems to falling asleep, to waking up multiples times a nigh about 20% of the worlds population struggle with achieving a good nights sleep. Using a PEMF device that runs at a low frequency allows your body to recharge and enter a resting state making it easier to fall asleep and stay asleep longer. (Click the emoji for a PubMed Study)
Bone Regeneration
PEMF therapy is approved by the FDA for bone regeneration. PEMF waves are able to stimulate bone growth by penetrating through bone marrow and get directly to the cells for repair. Additionally the membranes in your blood plasma (which are used to transport enzymes/nutrients throughout the body) also absorb the PEMF waves. Which results in your bone marrow getting more nutrients and enzymes that allow it to rejuvenate. (Click the emoji for a PubMed Study)
Improve Blood Circulation
Back pain is one of the most common symptoms of bad circulation. Having good circulation is a key factor for tissue regeneration. Bad circulation makes cells prone to disease and degeneration because they are not getting the nutrients that they need or removing toxic wastes from the body. When a red blood cell gets damaged or impaired it is not at its desired charge. This causes the red blood cells to stick together in groups, causing the circulation flow to slow down. When a PEMF passes through, it recharges the cells back to their normal levels, the cells separate and they return to their normal function. Therefor increasing circulation. Improve Mood Disorders (Anxiety/Depression)
PEMF therapy is approved by the FDA for treating anxiety and depression. PEMF therapy enhances cellular respiration and nutrient intake within the body. Therefor resulting in balanced hormonal functions, including serotonin, dopamine and cortisol. (Click the emoji for a PubMed Study)
Improve Cardiovascular Function
Cardiovascular disease is the #1 cause of morality in the Untied States. The heart is an electrically dynamic organ. Similar to how PEMF waves improve circulation, it improves cardiac function by recharging the heart so that it is able to perform at its optimum function (Click the emoji for a PubMed Study)
Decrease Back Pain
There are numerous causes of chronic back pain and many solutions result in drugs. PEMF therapy is a safe, non-invasive way to decrease or eliminate back pain. PEMF therapy reduces pain intensity and improves functionality/mobility of the back. (Click the emoji for a PubMed Study)
Arthritis Relief
PEMF therapy has an anabolic effect on two important cells in the skeletal system: osteoblasts and chondrocytes. Osteoblasts make up 95% of the cellular component in adult bone and are responsible for forming new bone. Chondrocytes produce and maintain cartilage matrix. Both cells are essential for bone regeneration and preservation. Thus, PEMF therapy improves pain, stiffness, and physical function of patients with arthritis.(Click the emoji for a PubMed Study)
Reduce Chronic Pain
Exposure to low frequency PEMF therapy decreases pain/symptoms in patients with chronic pain and fibromyalgia. PEMF therapy increases blood circulation, as well as increases oxygen levels in tissues by recharging cells so they can perform at an optimum level. As a result of improving circulation it alleviates pain by decreasing swelling, regenerating damaged/diseased tissue and repairing damages to bone and tendons). (Click the emoji for a PubMed Study)
